Thankful Thursdays: Hiking and some fall color

Hiking BreakWe’ve taken some Thursdays here at ALE to encourage one another to foster the practice of thankfulness in our lives.

Life doesn’t have to necessarily be going well to do so.

White fernsEven when we are going through a difficult time, there is always something  that we can be thankful for. It may require that we look up and outside ourself – to a beautiful blue sky, or pretty fall foliage, or a stranger’s thoughtful gesture. But there is always, always some cause for thankfulness in life.

Okay, let’s share something we are thankful for this week. I’ll start.

Picture breakI am thankful for a gorgeous day yesterday of hiking with my sweet little family. The temperature was in the 70’s (amazing for October in New England), the sky was a gorgeous blue, and the kids were so cute leading us through the woods, examining plants and trees along the way. It was a perfect way to spend my 33rd Birthday!

Okay, your turn. What are you thankful for today?

  1. This week, I’m thankful that last week is over and that this week is not a repeat of last week. 🙂
